Skiljanlegt sport ?

Áhuginn á að horfa er að mestu þannig að fólk kemur og horfir á “sín” hross.

Ég man það vel þegar ég heyrði fyrst í Sigurbirni Árna Arngrímssyni.

‘No More Russia, no Games’: Russian schoolboy Starts campaign in support of Olympic athletes — RT Sport News

The #noRUSSIAnoGAMES hashtag was gaining momentum on Russian interpersonal websites. On his webpage on the social network ‘Vkontakte,’ Roman — an aspiring ski winner — posted a psychological video message revealing the mother of Russian Olympic medalist Maxim Vylegzhanin, that died at cross-country skiing.

“After Maxim had been in third grade, he had been asked to choose a sports section and, after having tried several, he decided to take skiing. He won his first contest the identical year. His number-one target has always been getting an Olympic winner. Now everything is falling apart.”

Over the span of many days, the heartbreaking video gained over 700,000 views, together with all the Russian sports community, celebrities, politicians and ordinary people from throughout the globe readily throwing their weight from Roman’s individual attempt to cheer Olympic athletes.

Roman says that he didn’t expect such a huge reaction online. He coordinated the effort simply because everyone in his household is involved in athletics, and they all worry about the fate of Russia’s national staff.

“I don’t understand why our athletes have been forced to leave [the sport] forever with no evidence. Does anyone care about that which the athletes, barred from performing at the Olympic Games, feel like? Does anyone believe about their parents? We encourage our guys! Russia should Take Part in the Olympics!” Roman composed.

On Monday, the IOC scrapped the results of another five Russian participants in the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. Two Russian biathletes, Yana Romanova and Olga Vilukhina, have been stripped of the outcomes in Sochi, the International Olympic Committee stated. Both were members of all the Russian women’s silver-winning relay team.

Along with this relay, Vilukhina also dropped a silver trophy she claimed in the women’s sprint. Both Romanova and Vilukhina have already retired from competition, using Vilukhina declaring her decision to hang her up and gun before this month.

The outcomes of four Russian Trainers from the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games were annulled by the IOC this month. Aleksey Petukhov and Maxim Vylegzhanin, combined with two female allies, Evgenia Shapovalova and Julia Ivanova, were stripped in the outcomes from Sochi on the Grounds of the IOC Disciplinary Commission. Federation President Elena Valbe told RSport that all four athletes could be barred from involvement in the forthcoming Olympic Games.

The decision means that Russia will drop two Olympic awards: the silver medal in the men’s team sprint, won by Vylegzhanin , and gold in the men’s 50km marathon. The latter medal had already been reallocated into Vylegzhanin after the current disqualification of the Russian skier, Aleksander Legkov.

The IOC has also given life threatening to two Russian Trainers, Legkov and Evgeniy Belov, on the basis of evidence offered by the exact same Oswald Commission into alleged doping by Russian athletes. The committee, however, didn’t specify the type of doping offenses Legkov and also Belov had allegedly committed.

The IOC ban impacting six rebounds was enforced on the grounds of this analysis by preceding World Anti-Doping Agency chief Richard McLaren’s evaluation, which stated Russia had been guilty of state-sponsored doping at the 2014 Winter Olympics. It alleged the Russia’s anti-doping laboratory regularly sprayed up positive tests, and that samples were systematically manipulated at Russia’s house Games three decades back.

“I haven’t got the faintest notion of any doping system,” Legkov, that states that he collaborated rather, informed RT..

“We are innocent but powerless,” additional Yevgeniya Shapovalova, that didn’t win a trophy at Sochi.

“We do not know exactly what to do next with our own lives. You have contests, you’ve got things you plan for, then suddenly it’s all over. But we feel that the truth is stronger than lies,” Alexei Petukhov, that has been allowed to maintain his earlier bronze medal in Vancouver 2010, noted.

On December 5, the IOC will announce its decision regarding whether Russia can compete at the PyeongChang Winter Games next year.

“Twenty-eight instances were upheld by the attraction. Of those 28, 13 are busy athletes and 2 are now trainers, so the vital number is 15. Those 15 titles will be awarded to the Invitation Review Panel, chaired by Valerie Fourneyron, the former French sports ministry, and she will review, or this team will review those from the light of the CAS choice,” IOC spokesperson Mark Adams told a press conference on Saturday.

On Thursday CAS cleared 28 Russian athletes and chased their life bans over alleged doping.   “The two CAS panels unanimously found that the evidence put forward by the IOC in relation to this matter did not have exactly the identical weight in every single circumstance,” the statement by the Lausanne-based global human body said, adding that the athletes’ records had been reinstated.

One of those athletes who had been cleared of doping allegations are Sochi Olympic winner Spicy flashes Alexander Legkov and Maxim Vylegzhanin, Speed-skater Olga Fatkulina, bobsledders Dmitry Trunenkov and Alexey Negodaylo, also celebrity racer Aleksandr Tretiakov — all of whom won silver or gold medals at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

It was not clear how many of the 28 Russians would attempt to compete because some have retired in competition.

On December 5, the IOC Executive Board prohibited Team Russia in the PyeongChang Winter Games because of doping allegations. The ruling said that “blank” Russian athletes only can compete under a neutral flag at South Korea.

Adhering to the CAS statement, the IOC said that the decision doesn’t necessarily mean that these 28 athletes will be invited to the 2018 Games. “Not being sanctioned does not necessarily confer the chance of a invitation,” the organization stated.
